Create Custom Symbols

Overview

ISO Building Blocks

Open the ISO Building Block library.
You can create a custom symbol from scratch using the ISO elements or modify an existing symbol using these ISO building block elements.

 

Insertion Point

Define the insertion point of the symbol.
Click anywhere near the vicinity of symbol to set the insertion point.

 

My Symbol

Open the NetSkeme Explorer window to browse to the NetSkeme symbols saved on your machine.
Select the NetSkeme symbol, click OK to insert it into the NetSkeme canvas.
The symbol can then be modified.

 

Build from My Symbol Library

Open the Manage Library Mode to create custom symbols.
Build a new custom symbol or modify an existing symbol and save it locally on your system in the Manage Library Mode.

 

Save Symbol

Save the newly created/modified NetSkeme symbol as a PNG file locally on the user's machine.

If you have set your browser settings to always prompt you when you save a file, you will get a prompt when you save the PNG file. You may save it anywhere locally on your machine.

 

Save Drawing

Click to save the current drawing file as a DWG file.

If you have set your browser settings to always prompt you when you save a file, you will get a prompt when you save the DWG file. You may save it anywhere locally on your machine.

Click on the drop down to save the current drawing file as a PDF or a DXF file. Similarly, you will be alerted to save it anywhere on your local PC.

The drawing file will be saved as a PDF incorporating the full extent of the drawing file within the sheet size.

 

Exit

Exit the Manage Library mode and return to NetSkeme drawing canvas.
